Why me?

Do you ever feel like no matter what you do, especially at work, it's never good enough? You get reprimanded for things that others do freely. You get moved around as though you are a problem employee. Other people get credit for things that you do, or for doing less than you do. Your supervisor is hard on you for no reason and your co-workers talk about you behind your back. You feel that your employer does not support you and the citizens that you protect and serve do not appreciate you because of what other officers have done. You struggle with wanting to leave and go someplace where you will feel appreciated, but, for some strange reason, you decide to stay and persevere. You begin to ask yourself, "Why me?"

Well, if God says that all things will work together for your good if you love Him and are called according to His purpose, then, why not you? Everything must work out in your favor! For instance, when you get transferred, perhaps you assignment is finished and God needs you somewhere else. When you get reprimanded, perhaps God is teaching you how to submit to authority. When other people get credit for what you did, perhaps God is teaching you how to be humble. When people talk about you, perhaps your potential intimidates them.

Needless to say, faith is so important. Faith doesn't always change your situation, but, it changes how you look at your situation, which ultimately changes your response to you situation. The trials that you face are necessary to build your faith and your character. "A shift in your thinking produces change in your life."
