"Serving" in the midst of transition.

Have you ever found yourself at a place in your life where God has brought you out of where you used to be, yet, you haven't quite arrived at where He's called you to be, and it seems like you are just lingering somewhere in between? Or, you are trusting God for something and it seems like He's forgotten you. I know that this a very frustrating place to be. You see others getting promotions, new jobs, a reliable vehicle, financial increase, a child, a spouse, healing, a home, a ministry, and the list could go on. The enemy begins to whisper things to you like, "God is not going to do it. He's not with you. Look at your life. Where is God?" The answer is simple, but, you have to decide for yourself that this is what you are going to do. In the midst of your transition, you must simply find a way to "serve" others. Think about the farmer. When he or she plants their seed in the ground, they don't sit there staring at the ground waiting for their harvest. If they did, they would probably get discouraged very quickly. Why? Seed time and harvest time is a process. The farmer goes off to tend to other things, with a deep knowing that the harvest will surely come in due season, because the principles of seedtime and harvest work. If God has begun a process in your life, He will surely complete it, in due season. His word says that He will complete the good thing in you that He has begun, surely, without your help! I added that last part. (smile) So, do something other then what you are believing God for. Find a way to serve others. Stay busy for the Lord, and before you know, instead of you waiting on your harvest, your harvest will be waiting on you.

Public Safety "Prayer Wall"

Greetings everyone. I'm writing to let you know about the Public Safety "Prayer Wall" that is being constructed in Baltimore, MD. Insignia patches from police departments, corrections, campus police, special police, military police, private security, parole & probation, local, state, federal, national, international, etc. are needed to complete this project. The wall will be inside of the prayer room at Rock City Church in Baltimore. The patches will be housed in a secured case mounted on the wall. There is prayer 24 hours per day, seven days per week in this prayer room. If you are in the public safety field or if you have family and friends in this field, then you know how important prayer is and how desperately we need it. Officers are being ambushed, killed in auto accidents, marriages are being torn apart, children are being affected because of broken relationships, officers are committing suicide, financial problems, health problems, internal problems within departments, division in law enforcement, and the list could go on. Help me complete this project! I believe that there is a special place in the heart of God for public safety personnel. He has a special plan and purpose for our lives. Read Romans chapter 13, especially the "message bible" version. With that said, if you are able to assist by sending an insignia patch (the patch that is placed on the sleeve of a uniform) to go on the wall, so the men and women of that particular department can be consistently covered in prayer, please send an email to me at efieldsjr@verizon.net and I will provide you with the shipping address. THIS IS AN ALL CALL FOR PRAYING POLICE PERSONNEL, WORLDWIDE. FROM CIVILIAN TO CHIEF, LOCAL, STATE, FEDERAL, MILITARY, IT'S TIME TO JOIN TOGETHER IN PRAYER! Calling All Law Enforcement And Security!!!

Starting on Thursday, August 30, 2007, I will be starting a new series on my blog radio talk show, entitled "Testimony Series." (USA, Europe, Africa, Asia, South America, etc.) I want to show another side of law enforcement and security. God is up to something in our field, and it's up to us to tell about it! My First Book Signing Event!

My first book signing event is tomorrow, Thursday August 23, 2007. Since I don't have a publicist, I've been doing all of the advertising myself. This has been a learning experience, to say the least, yet, it has been very enjoyable. I don't know how many people to expect or how many books will be sold, but, I'm excited! I know that God is all over this project and I know that tomorrow will turn out to be more then I could have ever imagined. It's funny how God will do exceedingly, abundantly, and above all that we can ask or think! Obedience saved my life!

One night, there was a shooting in my sector. Because I wasn't the primary investigating officer, I had to secure the crime scene. My patrol car was parked in the middle of the street with the strobe lights flashing. All of a sudden, I felt a strong desire to praise God. Now mind you, I'm standing in the middle of the street in full uniform. I thought to myself, "How am I gonna look standing with my hands lifted up to the Lord, in the middle of a crime scene?" Then the Lord said, "Get in the car, now, and praise Me!" So, I got into my car and I began to praise my Lord and after about 30 seconds, 8 gunshots rang out! I saw people running. No one got hurt. Thank God! I initially thought that this may have been the reason that God had me praising Him. I could have been interceding for someone who was about to get shot. Suddenly, 2 undercover officers walked over to me and one of them said, "Officer Fields, a citizen said that a car stopped in the intersection two blocks away from here and a man got out of the car and began to shoot at you." "Shoot at me!" I thought. As the officers drove away, I looked toward heaven and a tear rolled down my face. It finally made sense. Had I not obeyed the Lord by getting into my car when He told me to, even when it didn't make sense, I could have been killed. I didn't even know that I was in danger, but, God knew! Obedience saved my life!!!

SEPTEMBER 11TH PRAYER

LORD, I THANK YOU FOR YOUR MERCY AND YOUR GRACE. I'M SIMPLY IN AWE OF YOU. FATHER, I DECREE AND I DECLARE THAT HURT AND SORROW ARE FAR FROM THE FAMILIES OF OUR FALLEN HEROS AS WE APPROACH THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE SEPTEMBER 11 TRAGEDY. I PROHIBIT THE ENEMY FROM OPERATING THROUGH OR INFLUENCING THE MIND OR SOUL OF ANYONE THAT COMES INTO CONTACT WITH ANY FAMILY MEMBER OF OUR FALLEN HEROES. EXPEDITE THE HEALING PROCESS IN JESUS NAME! LORD, I SUPERIMPOSE PEACEFUL THINKING OVER EVERY THOUGHT OF HATE AND REVENGE, BECAUSE, YOUR WORD SAYS THAT VENGEANCE IS YOURS! ANGELS, EXCEL IN STRENGTH , NOW! COMFORT THOSE THAT NEED TO BE COMFORTED. ENCOURAGE THOSE THAT NEED TO BE ENCOURAGED. SPEAK LIFE TO THOSE WHO DESIRE TO GIVE UP. LORD, LET EVERY DIABOLICAL COVERT OPERATION AGAINST YOUR PEOPLE BE MADE OVERT, EASILY IDENTIFIABLE, AND DOWNLOAD INTO LAW ENFORCEMENT LEADERSHIP, DIVINE TACTICAL COUNTER MEASURES AND PROVIDE UNEXPECTED INTELLIGENCE FROM UNEXPECTED SOURCES. I NULLIFY, VETO AND CANCEL EVERY FUTURE DIABOLICAL PLAN OF THE ENEMY TO ATTACK OUR COUNTRY, AND I DECREE AND DECLARE THAT EVERY PLOT, PLOY, TACTIC AND MANEUVER LAUNCHED AGAINST OUR COUNTRY FAIL, IN JESUS NAME! LORD, SMOKE OUT EVERY AGENT OF DARKNESS WHO HAS INFILTRATED LAW ENFORCEMENT AND ARE HANDING OUR STRATEGIES AND PLANS OVER TO THE ENEMY. CAUSE THEM TO BE CONFUSED, LET THEM TURN ON EACH OTHER, AND LET THEIR PLANS FAIL, IN JESUS NAME! I DECREE AND DECLARE THAT THIS SEPTEMBER 11 BE A TIME TO REJOICE AND NOT A TIME TO CRY. A TIME TO LOVE AND NOT A TIME TO HATE. A TIME TO BOND AND NOT A TIME TO BREAK. FATHER, STRENGTHEN YOUR PEOPLE, LOVE ON YOUR PEOPLE, COMFORT YOUR PEOPLE, SPEAK TO YOUR PEOPLE. KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS, BE GLORIFIED AND MAKE YOUR PRESENCE KNOWN. I SEAL THIS PRAYER IN JESUS NAME. AMEN.

Line of Duty Injury

I'm having reconstructive surgery on my right ankle in 2 weeks due to a line of duty injury. I was told that I would have about 85% mobility in that ankle after the surgery and physical therapy. That's not acceptable! I don't think that the doctors know the God that I serve and how healing is apart of His very nature. I decree and declare that my right ankle will function according to God's original design for my skeletal system and I command every bone and piece of cartilage that is out of place to realign itself according to Gods original blueprint for my body. Let it be so, in Jesus name! If you are reading this and you have the time, give me your best prayer in the comments section. God says that if any two gather together in His name, they can ask for anything and It shall done. (I paraphrased it) I'm believing God for 100% recovery, a complete healing, and a speedy recovery. God's not finished with me , yet, in law enforcement! Who said police don't know how to pray?

Keep your heads up!

Lately, there has been a lot of negative press about law enforcement. In any organization, you are going to have a few bad apples in the bunch. The officers that make the news for scandals only represent a very small percentage of law enforcement. The majority of police, nationwide, are hard working, ethical, caring, professional, compassionate men and women who are very skillful at what they do and are proud to wear their uniform. Many people have had negative encounters with police officers, but, I encourage you all to not judge the multitude by a bad experience. It hurts as an officer to genuinely extend your heart and service to a citizen to only to be prejudged, rejected and cursed because of what another officer did. To those officers that are out there doing it right, but, are getting tired and fed up, my heart and prayers go out to you and I encourage you all to keep your heads up! Help is on the way! God is up to something in law enforcement!!!

God is up to something in law enforcement!

Law enforcement and public safety officials spend the majority of their day pouring out of themselves into the lives of others and many times are left empty. Low on patience, gentleness, trust, happiness, and sometimes, even faith. Seeing the worst of the worst day in and day out can affect your mind, body, soul, and spirit. Who ministers to and replenishes what has been poured out of our police? Behind every hurting officer is a hurting family. The families of officers, worldwide, are home crying out to God on behalf of their loved ones. It's time to engage in spiritual warfare and begin to start praying effectively, tactically, and with a purpose, for our police. God is up to something in law enforcement! A "shift" in our thinking and prayer life will produce "change" in the lives of our police and the cities that they protect and serve. God is up to something in law enforcement!
